Is mod really worth it?

I am going to build an spudgun with an 3/4" anti siphon sprinkler valve:

1.5 inch x 2 foot chamber

1.25 x 3 foot barrel

3/4 inch anti siphon sprinkler valve

If i mod it, how much % of the power will be increased?

A reasonable 20% at least I'd say, and possibly more.
However, the real advantage of modding a sprinkler is the fact it's practically equal in cost and effort, but provides that power any way - you see, the stuff to mod it only costs about the same as the batteries and switches you'd need for basic operation.

The thing I have to call on is that anti siphon valves aren't usually a great move, IIRC.

definately mod it s worth it but thats not a good c:b ratio so it wont be that powerful. maybe use a piston much better performence

why its not a good c:b ration Mr.Sandman?

What do you mean by that Mr.Ragnarok?

What's the problem?
It's pretty near 1:1, which is a decent compromise between power and efficiency.
There's a reason for any C:B ratio.
Personally, I'd say anything over 2:1 was pretty wasteful, not adding much power, but slaughtering efficiency.
Less than 0.5:1, it's efficent, you can still extract power, but the cannon's barrel will tend to be very large for it's power.

I wouldn't know myself, but I'm told that anti siphon valves are less efficent than standard sprinkler valves.

But you'd need to talk to someone who knew sprinkler valves better than me.

The only difference between the two is then anti siphon is having an elbow

Externally, yes, but I believe the internals are different and less efficent.

Like I said, I'm not the expert on sprinkler valves.

The cap of the anti siphon mecanism(the elbow) could be unscrewed and we could take off the internal that may reduce the flow.

.... which is likely the entire thing. Valves are usually only made up of two or three parts, man. And elbows reduce flow efficiency. Pretty badly at lower pressures, if I recall. Anyway, they just aren't as good as a straight inline.

I would say mods are definitely worth it although the exact % increase in power will depend on your ammo.

Also if you ever get another sprinkler valve then you might as well get a 1". Usually they are about the same price or only a couple dollars more, but they give you almost twice the flow.
