lego sight

I just builded this 5 minutes ago and it is pretty simple:

4 degrees of angle and 2 of wind deviation

To aim in front of you, look in the first stage of the brown"tower" and in the middle of the blue lego piece.

To aim far, look in stage 2,3 or 4 of the brown "tower"

To calculate wind deviation, look in stage 1,2,3 or 4 of the brown tower(depends of situation)and one of the left or right hole of the blue lego piece.

If you dont understand just ask.

Why not call it "lego sight"? I was thinking you had built some mad contraption of slide rules and indece markers using legos...

Interesting, however the front and rear elements are too close together for the system to be practical.

True, however, it's not like a typical spudder like this offers any significant level of accuracy or consistency, so it's likely this apparatus will offer a basic "broadside of a barn" opportunity.... 8)

Fair enough, though there you have around 30º range of windage, and the sort of elevation that one would find on a grenade launcher :roll: unless you're shooting lead bricks in a hurricane I think one would appreciate greater separation that would allow for finer adjustment of aim.

What you see is the "old version",now i had added a movement so you can pull down or up the rear sight, like in real guns 8)

Bwahahahahahha :D I thought square projectiles were out due to surface area problems...That's assuming a square brick

Now shooting anything during a hurricane would just be plain irresponsible, especially if one were going for a distance shot in a field were mice might be hiding. (or forklifts for that matter) :roll:

They could be saboted ;) though for a given calibre, a square section barrel would have 27% more available area (and therefore power, since power is pressure x area) than a circular section one - and since we're not dealing with extreme pressures here, I'm surprised it hasn't been done before.

I am not sure i am going to buy one if it cost too much ,but do someone know about a cheap distance calculator?

I would like to build an super-accurate angle calculator to hit the cible at each time...

Ok so how can i reduce the dead space without making it too long?
And the ratio, elbow included is 1:1.

The valve could be up behind the barrel, rather than behind the chamber - this makes the elbows part of the chamber volume instead of dead space.

Alternately, as the flow of a sprinkler is limited anyway, lower bore elbows would reduce the dead space, but without noticeable flow loss (provided their size was above a certain lower bound) - which would probably improve performance.

It's probably not feasible to rebuild your cannon now anyway, but they are things to consider should you build another.

Well, i use a the distance calculator, aim with relation of the distance and shoot at the right place...

Right, I see.

If I get my butt in gear, I'm supposed to be making a distance calculator, but it's not going very fast.
