Ground floor.
This is a really nice gun. As for the paintjob, I don't really think it's necessary.

wow quick reply.... lol
I think youll be suprised how much better it will look painted. None of the metal will be painted, just the Plastic. It should look sweet. If not, I always have Sandpaper.

Well, its pouring Rain outside, so it might be a little while, but As of now, i can tell you i have buckets of old, nasty apples..... And this thing is perdy accurate. Ill do some skill shots or something, and catch them all on video.
Mind you, I have a complete video of me making this gun, all up untill I ran out of tapes to film it on. It covers up to putting the QEV as the pilot.

Very nice, I like the blended tubes. It would be worth attacking it with filler and painting it in my book.

Yeah that will look soo much better painted..
Are you gonna bondo between the top and botttom PVC pipes?
If so, might I suggest that you only bondo up about half way.. It would give it more of a gun look...
I did a quick PS job to see what it would kind of look like.. mind you I did a horrible job but you get the idea.
Incase you cant see what parts I would suggest bondoing in that picture...
Here is a pic to show where I would put the bondo.

I'd still paint the exposed metal pipe and fittings, perhaps in a different tone though - unless you're going for the steampunk look, in which case clean up and polish the metal parts and try to achieve a faux woodgrain finish on the PVC areas.

Humm not bad. 700 fps is a whole lotta V for a barrel that short! A paint job would go a long way here.
Overall nice unit.
Edit: Jack and David beat me on the paint post.....

you know a steampunk look would be killer here.....
good suggestion jack.
This is what comes to mind when I think steampunk weaponry.

Cool cannon, I agree with David, you should be a bit of bondo in between the top and bottom pipes, and maybe down the barrel 'shroud' also. If you don't paint the metal, you should at least clean it up a bit. I think it would look fine painted though.

Thanks for all the replies guys
I went out to buy bondo, only to find they dont have any!
And as for filling only half of it, I think im just going to fill the gaps so they look clean. Besides that, I see no reason to fill the whole gap. It looks cooler with the lines, I think.
As for the Barrel Shroud, I have an idea for that......
I also need some Sights. Any ideas? I want them to be fully adjustable.

I think that it deserves to have a rail epoxied on top and fitted with a red dot sight, it needn't cost much and will look the business.
Here's my HW45 to prove the point
