What valve?

I'm thinking of an airsoft shotgun that's run off of a Co2 tank in a backpack with a hose to the gun. It would be pump, but I've gotten that all figured out, i just need a valve.
I'm hoping to get a small valve and expansion chamber in the stock of the shotgun that is semi automatic. I'm thinking of a high pressure metal tank so I don't need too much of a large volume.
QUESTION: How do I make a semi automatic SMALL valve that works off a constant airflow. I don't own a metal lathe, so this might be difficult.
