I've been skimming thru the forums and I have found very different answers to the question of how much pressure a soda bottle can handle, does anyone know?

Probably 100PSI-140PSI. Doesn't mean it can handle this every time.

Just spend the few dollars on a PVC chamber, you'll end up messing around with the bottle threads for awhile anyway. I've pumped up a soda bottle to 50psi, and even at that pressure i'm scared using it.

The only reason I wanted to use a soda bottle is because I found an awesome nozzle that fits perfectly over a bottle.

Well it's not worth the risk and it doesn't add any ergonomical or aesthetical aspect to your cannon, so I don't see why you would bother.

Toally agree with mr. c on this one, pvc is made to to handle repeated applications of pressure, soda bottles not so much, and i'm sure you're not gonna feel to swell when it blows up.

I wouldn't see a problem with using one below 100 psi, though I would recommend changing it regularly.

The nozzle of a soda bottle? No idea.

Or do you mean whatever nozzle you were talking about here?

Oh yeah that water hose nozzle we all know so much about.

Wow thats funny... but I thought saying soda bottle made it basically known to the size. Plus am 13, I'm aloud to make mistakes!

Like not spelling "allowed" correctly?

You're allowed to make mistakes as long as you learn from them.

Saying "Aloud" was the joke...
