I was really bored today and decided to make a new breach loader beside the one i have now.so some key thing it needed were ammo cartridges, fast reloading time, and easily accessible for a bi-pod.This is what i came up with.

Now to get to the question, do you see any thing wrong with this?
Thank You for taking you time out of the day to help me. :)

You need to lock the cartridge in some way. If not, it might blow out on firing. Also it needs to be secured to be somewhat airtight.
As I see it now, you are squeezing the cartridge between the rubber washers, but I think that that wont work as this requires everything to be machined precisely. If its a little bit to big you cant fit it in anymore, if it is a little bit too small it is too loosely between the washers.

That design wont be airtight. You need something to slide and secure the cart.

good thinking and think about everything said above.
maybe you can use rubber rings to make it airtight in some way.

But it will indeed need some sliding part to squeeze the cartridge between the rings.

It works great but you are right,I left the front barrel un-glued and hooked some springs to it so all you do it push the shell forward and down and it locks into place.

After reading all your comments i set out to build this and it was a success.
sorry i dont have a real picture so you will have to settle with a diagram.Hopefully my sister will let me burrow her camera and i might be able to get this and my pneumatic cannons posted.thanks for your help

Ah and there is the sliding mechanism.
Doesnt the pressure blow the sliding mechanism back and spit the cartridge out that way?
You should lock the slide in some way. Would be safe.

how cool if the cardridge comes out like with a real gun :D
but it loses too much power for that I think.
you are really thinking about new things, good work !
