help with a freon tank

i need some help i went to my friends shop and got a freon tank but it has some kind of check valve is there any way i can bypass it with out using alot of tools?
when i open it there a piece that slides up and closes it so i cant add air to it

I think you could probably pump air in, the whole point of a check valve is not to let stuff out... have you tried pumping air in yet? I would think the problem would be getting it out.
Worse comes to worse you can just push it open and glue it there...

well it slides down when u close and i can pump about 3 psi in here but thats it no more goes in

wat kind of glue would i need for that?

it like a propane tank umm i think i can get a few from good
my plans are to pump air into it and use it to fill my cannon and just have fun fill ballons and water rocket things with my baby brother and just random thing maybe make a piston to lift the front end of my cannon for aiming it

If you want to you could drill out the check valve, but that would be permanent, so make sure that you absolutely do not need it at all.

Get a drill!
Seriously its one of the most basic tools and a necessity for nearly every project. Invest in a good one and you won't be disappointed.
On your check valve, try unscrewing it from the tank. I'm not if this applies to it for lack of pictures. If it does, you'll need a wrench, another good investment if you don't already have one.

You haven't reached it's opening pressure your just filling the space between the pump and the valve.
I would cut off the check valve and attach a ball valve.

A picture would help ALOT. I would indeed drill out/mess up the check valve so that you've got free acces to the insides and can use the thing as a chamber.

ok thanks and my mini compressor says it was up to 120 psi and will nothing was going into it
