well, for physics we had to build a catapult, and i think alot of physics classes do this, so post yours if you have one.

thanks, it is meant to shoot tennis balls, our object was to hit a target 10m away. We hit the closest at just 1in from the center.

Having that barrel really allows you more precision than without it. Now if you could just adjust it's elevation.... 8)
