Just wondering for future refernce...
If i put a spring on my piston and get a CO2 tank and regulate it..
could i have semi-auto?
(if it matters)
The chamber is 1" by 2' copper and the barrel is 1/2 by 3' copper
(coax design)
semi-auto maybe???

You will have a cannon capable of multiple shots.
Your exhaust valve basically turns it into a repeater or a full auto cannon.
A ballvalve will turn it into a mayor waste of precious gas.
A hammer valve could, if it vents quickly enough, turn it into a repeater.
A slidevalve could turn it, when filled from the pilot side, into a semi.
A QEv plus pop-off could turn it into a full automatic.
It will only be semi-or fully automatic if you combine it with an automatic bolt to feed the ammo, or use a direct system like a T and a hopper, plus some devise to keep ammo from falling out the barrel.

Is there anybody out there still doing single shot cannons?!?!?

well really i plan on just making the gun and a high pressure pump or get a fridge compressor if i can find a cheap one...
but once i get bored with that i plan on modding the gun for CO2 hook up and semi-auto
and how would you make a device to keep the ammo from falling out of the end of your barrel?

A piston valve dose not need a spring to operate, it just depends on what side of the piston you are going to fill it from. If you fill it from the pilot valve side the air pressure will re-seat the valve before the chamber gets any co2. If you are going to fill it via the chamber then you will need a spring to seat the piston as all you're co2 will just flow out the barrel
