Hey all- I've been dissatisfied with most of my guns, with the realization that what I really want is a handgun style gun. One that is the same size as a normal handgun or even a paintball handgun size.

i want it to be magazine fed, from the grip. Air source will probably be from a CO2 tank with a hose going to it. If a co2 cart in the pistol is feasible, I want it.

I know they've been able to do it with paintball pistols, I'm just not really sure how, (more specifically the Tiberius T8)

The T8 works by having the cart in the magazine along with the paintballs..

I'm just not sure how it fires (valve, action)

I'm going to guess something like a hammer valve possibly? And then maybe a blowforward action?

Can anyone shed some light into my handgun dream?

That's gonna be mighty complicated with limited tooling.

I would suggest looking at building your own pellet gun from parts, believe it or not. Crosman is a good start.

this is how i want to go about it. it's a quick mock up of an idea. it uses a piston valve that moves the barrel which seals it and moves the slide which resets the hammer. the pressure source can be whatever you want. i prefer propane. I've thought of plenty of ways to build a pistol but this is the more simple and reliable system. the only real hard part will be building the trigger and hammer system. if anyone has any suggestions on how to make a hammer that is heavy enough for cheap i'm all ears. i'm working with $0.

Take your pick of valve

If I were to do it I'd use a small push button controlled blow forward beech with a springloaded mag and CO2 powerlet. Also, if you can access advanced tooling I can draw up and send you plans of a compacted airforce condor/talon mechanism. That said, it won't be done without the right machines.

Maybe this isn't as feasible as I thought..

Perhaps its gonna be back to work on my high pressure BBMG..

What i am planning on doing is full auto qev popoff, mag perpendicular to the barrel pistol. Running off helium from a backpack tank. All enclosed in an aluminum uzi handgun design. But thats for later on.

At the moment i am gathering parts for the gun ilustrated below. Simple and effective.

Its not multishot or anything but should be good for a bit of plinking and bloody easy to make.

RED= qev
YELLOW= hacked blowgun
GREEN= Flexi hose
BLUE= chamber
GREY= .22 barrel
