Why don't you use plain metal pipe?

I agree, what's the point?

The only reason you'd want to do that is for a barrel...

im not using the steal coz its not seamless and would cut in to my o rings

Good thinking. If you were very determined you could bore/sand out the seam.

Make sure there is NO room for the pipe to expand, or you will have:

A) Loose fit
B) Failure

the pvc is tight like i have to hit it in with my hand or smack it against a table so it should be fine

you can just use copper pipe or aluminium pipe (but alu is difficult to find)

That sounds good, but in order to be sure I'd epoxy it over the whole surface as well. Your tight fit may still be too loose.

Yep. Fill up any gap inbetween the PVC and the seam, because if it is big enough to affect o rings, then there's a fair chance there's enough space for the PVC to expand.

Have a look at a boat or fiberglass store for marine epoxy resin or similar.

No need for that ino .. I got mine at my local ace hardware store... They pack a ALOT of glues there... basically any glue you'd ever need as well as some spray paint (the one for plastics) I forgot the name.... Only thing I dont liike about it is that they dont stock too many types of pvc pipe

EDIT that: I just read he lived in Australia... there goes 1 minute of typing... BAH..

On topic.. if epoxy is to epensive you can try epoxy putty it or jb weld.. im not sure if they sell jb weld in australia but it hardens more than epoxy and it is rated to 3.6k PSI!! If you absolutely cant get any.... im not sure... hotglue? I wouldnt recommend it though.... better to be safe than sorry especialy if your dealing with 300 psi pressures

Anyway good luck :D
