ok so here is my first working gun i have made, it is a marbel rifle/ shotgun/ dart gun that i made awhile ago, basiclly it is made up of bits and peice of polly pipe and metal gate valves, i made it in about 2 hours all i did was found wateva bits would connect to eachother and this was the end result. the ball valve is a bit leaky so i wen i go to shoot i have the air going in constantly, my compresor only goes up to bout 120psi so thats wat i shoot at. i pressure it thru a threaded tire valve i got off an motorbike tube which i screwed into a pvc endcap and used sum nuts and peices of rubber to make it air tight.

the barrel is a steel curtain rod i found,it is 15mm Id. i found that it fits inside the original barrel nice and tight but still easy to remove, ive only had it shoot out a couple of times.

i usually use marble as ammo, and sumtimes i make darts outta nails and any other straight steel i can find, or i load it up with bout 20 bbs, plastic shotgun wads are very good for this.

i dont really have any specs on this, the curtain rod barrel is 102cm long, the chamber is 66cm long, overall lenght is 212cm. i have no idea wat the chamber diametr is or what the chamber volume is.

so here are sum pics feel free to ask any questions.

(screw screw screw screw) ahhh finally open/closed my gate valve. But we should credit him for the effort put into the 2hours of building this spud out of parts he could find!

With the compressor you have, go grab yourself some better parts and make some butt-kicking spuds :D 15mm pipe is a common plumbing pipe that i use for my barrels, its going to be just fine despite where it came from. (mine is 15mm OD)

Cheers :D

Welcome to spudfiles :]

What colour? Brown would be a natural selection ;)

Not as much of a pain in the ass as toe CLOSEUPS! Gah!

well we know you werent lying about it being a spare parts gun :D

and from the looks of it he doesnt have to open and close anyof those gate valves. the one on the back is like a plug, and the two in the middle are to take up space i think

@c11man
good observation! The one at the end acts as an end cap, and those two in the middle i figured that they work as connectors :D bulky alternatives, but clever for a spare parts gun! :D

ok so heres a bit of an update to my 'bits n peices gun'. i have removed one of the gatevalves to loose the wheight a bit. also fixed the leaky ball valve by taking off the handle and replacing an o-ring in there, and found sum new barrels.

The white long one is a peice of 20mm conduit, i think its like 14-15mm id, its perfect for marbles, i added a silencer to the end, which actully really works well, it went from a crack sound to more like a shhwoomp sound.
The longer white one next to it is jst another curtain rod it sleeves inside the conduit to shoot, its bout 12 mm id, i only use darts in it.
My old barrel is there, its painted grey now, i only use it as a shotgun barrel now.
And the gray one on the right is off a cobweb broom, and the conduit sleeves in that jst to make it stable and not flopping around.
