Boom! The classic potato gun harnesses the combustion of flammable vapor.

Hello everyone, I have an advanced combustion cannon that i'm building and i was going to do just machine thread bolts for the ignitor tips. And i want to change the sparker design. So how could i plug the old holes in the combustion chamber?

Thanks

Epoxy putty is what i would use just make sure to sand it up real good before applying it.

I have used it to seal leaks in a pneumatic at 300psi so it should work just fine for a combustion

oatey, but any brand should work just look for the psi rating on it and what it bonds to mine bonds to pvc, metal, wood, ceramic and all that good stuff and has a rating of 1500psi .

p.s. dont use plumbers epoxy it takes forever to dry

You could also use small segments of threaded rod or short machine set screws if you want to get real fancy. Thread them in until they're countersunk slightly, and smooth over with bondo or epoxy before painting.

Are the holes threaded? Then ofcourse use bolts to seal it off.
Also you could look into finding another use for the holes, like boring them out, tapping NPT and using them to inject fuel or so.
Also you may look into adapting your new sparking system to fit onto those holes.
Till the day I'm dieing, I'll keep them spuddies flying, 'cause I can!
