I've build this "little" beast for a friend and before I give it to him tomorrow I'd like to share it with you guys.

Data:
Type: barrel sealing piston valve.
Total length: 138cm
Piston: 1 1/4" epoxy-bolt combination -> 1" porting
Chamber: 50cm galvanized steel -> 1 1/4"
Barrel: 1m / 28mm copper pipe
Pilot: 3/8" 3/2-DCV
Filling: compressor quick connect with check valve

The old version of the BigBoy

I had the BigBoy at home a couple of days for maintenance. I haven't build anything for quite a while now and the "fever" hit me once again. :twisted:
After I repaired the sealing face I decided to modify and pimp it a little. The overall result is quite good....

The breach is made of two ?bayonet couplings? (couldn't find the english expression) which match perfectly the id of the barrel (I love it when things fit together).

The trigger is the 3-way valve that is described in this post.

I've build a check valve into the fill port. Now you can leave it hooked up to the compressor or disconnect the gun.

A little destruction :twisted:

Your friend should be very pleased :D . The costume trigger looks very clean and sets the rest of the cannon off nicely. Job well done! :D

Love it mate. Reminds me a lot of my own guns.

Keep it up!

Nice launcher, not to be pedantic but I would type out a note relieving you of any responsibility in the event that your friend maims/injures/kills himself or anybody else while using the launcher or damages anyone's property and make him/her sign it before handing it over.

Yes having a disclaimer or something wouldn't hurt...

Building, using and owning these devices is illegal in my country.

By the definition of our law, making a contract over an illegal subject, nullifies the legally valid of it (hope I wrote that right :roll: ).

I think I have to trust him (what I do).

Give to your friend in pieces.

He assembles it, etc.

That is why they sell kit planes.

Besides that I already gave it to him...

I should have tell you something about my friend. He is the father of two little girls and a hobby film maker. The purpose if this gun is to put some special effects into his films. I would have bigger problems to give this baby to my own brother than to him.

All in all he is a very responsible person and I don't think that he would do something that hurt others or even his own family.

Love your homemade trigger system.
Must of been expensive to make with all that brass parts.....
Where did you get the "bayonet couplings"?
i searched all over the pumbling store and they didn't have it.

Again awesome gun !!.
