o ring piston :)

ok could sombody draw up a picture of a 2 inch tee 1.5 inch porting and a piston made of a 1 1/4 inch cupler
what im asking is where do u put the o ring(s) how many
is there any thing else i need to do to the piston orings make it air tight how does air get past it
what size o ring
and price for the o ring i should be expected to pay

this isn't mine but it is a very good illustration. the credit for this goes to Jor2daje. the o rings go around the coupling where it comes into contact with the 2inch piece. you can get away with one o ring but i think using two is a common practice. i don't know what size o ring is needed. as for the air getting around it it needs a equalization hole drilled in through the coupling

diagram for a 1.5" porting piston in a 2" T just make the oring grooves before end of 2" pipe the piston sits in. And if you use a oring you will have to make an equalization hole.

Here is a quick sketch of the piston I put in my last one. It worked great.
Note: This diagram was drawn up rather fast, but if you need a easier-to-read version just let me know.

i know u made it for me i still have it and the list and price of items on my desk top
i just wanted to know where the orings go and how to get air past them thanks i got everything
my birthday is this money hopefully i get some money
p.s thanks hub i understand where to put it now

do u know the size bolt nuts and washer i need? and what store sells neoprene rubber i can say i never seen that the ace has a rubber sheet about think of 2 nickels stacked but it 5 dollars for the small 7 inch squre

All of the parts I got came from Ace (except the felt). The neoprene washers were found in those little pullout drawers they have. I don't remember the sizes.
If you are interested in making this piston, I will write up a how to (with sizes).

ok i went last night
the while piston going cast me around 22 dollars thats cause i have to buy another lenth of 2 inch and 1.5 inch pipe but thats ok
then the o rings
im going wait until after i pay my phone bill to start buying and what is the felt for
