Here is my new QEV gun. Its pretty simple and powerful at 70 psi it will shoot a screw dart around 400m and has alot of kick i realy need a good track pump.
The specs are
15mm barrel
22mm chamber
1/2 QEV
blowgun pilot
and some other stuff
i havent got any damage pics yet because i cant find any good ammo!
but here it is any way.

And I thought you were a "Noob". :P

Very nice, hope you keep up the good work!

BTW, there's probably a wire-nut that'll fit the copper pipe perfectly, then the dart's/arrows can be epoxied into those.

I am 100% sure someone will mention using higher pressure with it too.

8) Got to go for now, it's saturday and all... :( 8)

edit: still got a minute, but, if you look at the "90" on the chamber (near the pilot blow nozzle), my idea has been to use a "T" there instead, and with a spring plunger(on reducer bushing), it will press the pilot.
Then you'd need a "JSR" type blow-forward bolt for auto-loading though.
(he's to me the "John Browning" of the spudding world...) 8)

There are some good examples of homebuilt high pressure trackpumps ( or stirrup pumps) on this site..

Easy to build and cheaper than a store bought pump wich would never come close to the output..

When did this tendency for people listing pipe bores, but no lengths start?

Anyway, there's not a huge amount I can say. It looks decent, but it would be dishonest of me to pretend it was anything hugely special, as I've seen its like dozens of times.

I do see your point rag because on uksgc most of the copper cannons are QEVs but anyway, it wasn't supposed to be anything special just something to mess around with.
Its a very simple cannon pretty cheap aswell :) and also my most powerful :)

About the lenghts (sp)? umm i think around 100cm for the barrel and about 75 for the chamber.

Few spudguns are anything else!
... and also my most powerful.
A very subjective measure of course, and only really important to the owner. But if such an superlative comparison is important to you, don't let me dissuade you from using it.

Hey....
I'm pretty vague about the dimensions of my creactions...

Then again...I try to make them more than just something to mess around with...

While you are searching for the pump tutorial...try and find the one on making a wooden stock...
:D

And have I ever said that I believe that a good thing? I may let you get away* with doing it, but that doesn't mean I like it.

*Like I have much of a choice in the matter...

Yeah i cant fix that problem because when i put on the the 15mm compression fitting it pushed the pipe upwards and it dosent go back down.
I need to get rid of the tape and use some hose ties/bands.
