That guy has made a very quick openeing valve
(the piston is extremely lightweight).

Just replay it, you can see the bullet going out.I cant get tired of it.

The best part about it is when you see the ginormous vapor cloud and the bullet whizzing through. Hmm maybe i will make a slow mo thread.

If you take a look at his other vids...at normal speed you can still see the projectile...

Not that impressive..

But the slow moving vapour cloud is!!

i think the "cloud" is a powder that he added behind the projectile not condensed water vapor

Actually...... quite unremarkable. IMO

I use flour for launching horizontal rockets. With more mass then the air compressing it gives a considerable amount more thrust then air alone. At least with rockets anyway. I never tried it with a projectile. Looks like he packed some flour behind the projectile as the visual effect is the same, but since rockets carry the fuel and expel it in free air I wouldn't think it would have the same effect as a projectile that begins to slow down the moments it leaves the barrel. Nice video but seems like a bit of drama went on.

I quite liked the vid actually. The performance, as mentioned, may not be spectacular but it sure is a nice effect. Once upon a time, I had a spray and pray and I would make 65mm x 100mm 'flour shells'. It was some cylindrical card paper with paper end caps - filled full of flour. The objective was to shoot a heap of flour out of the barrel to make the smoke effect but it ended up just shooting the whole shell and exploding on impact in a giant cloud of white

I'm going to have to agree. That looks more like a cloud of flour than water vapour. It appears too quickly, disappears too slowly, and just reacts wrong. Compare the large cloud and what emerges from the muzzle (after what I expect is exaggerated recoil).

The "blast" vapour cloud disappears fast - HEAL is capable of blast vapour several feet long, but it's still translucent and is only caught on only 2 or 3 frames of video (and only reasonably clearly on one of those).

I know some limited French. Indeed, with context, I can partially fudge my way through a few European languages... and even Australian, believe it or not. :tongue3:

However, I will be honest, I didn't bother trying to read it, because I didn't expect to be able to (Kinda silly as it turns out. Looking again, it is within my limits.)
