I built this cannon nearly a year ago and I just got around to posting it.

It has a chamber consisting of 10' of 4" PVC pipe and a 4" tee, giving it a total chamber Volume of approximately 1527.6 cubic inches.

It uses interchangeable barrels, either a 10' of 2.5" PVC or 10' of 1.5" PVC

The valve is a chamber sealing, sprinkler valve piloted piston valve from spudtech.

All of the pipe in the cannon is pressure rated PVC painted black (NOT ABS)

What pressure are you running at?

I'm running between 100-120 psi, although I think the paper shot is at 50 psi...I don't quite remember.

You've got quite some barrel flexing, but that's nearly unavoidable with 10' of 2,5".
Chamber volume is overkill-ish. You could use a larger diameter barrel for even more power.

To increase power I may just use a longer barrel (20' 1.5 or 15' 2.5") along with a barrel support system instead of a larger bore barrel. That way I could continue using the projectiles I use (arrows, tennis balls) and I could save some money.

Also, would it be feasible to connect two 10' sections of pipe (for the barrel) with a union, or would it be better to go with a cemented coupler?

Your chamber and barrel are pretty much the same size as the big combustion style we're building. Of course, Pneumatics are more powerful and on average shoot about 33% farther than most average combustion guns. How many fps are you achieving, and how does it do on distance?

Experimentation with our own combustion and pneumatic guns. Side by side tests. 5 shots from each gun at an angle of 35 degrees. 4.2% metered propane in the combustion gun, and 110 p.s.i. in the pneumatic gun. On average, our pneumatic gun shot potatoes about 33% farther than our combustion gun. Both chambers were roughly the same volume. There was nothing special about either gun. Sprinkler valve on the pneumatic, and a grill igniter on the combustion. Both had 2" barrels at 3' long.

GGDT predicts 796 fps for the arrow.

I am very fond of those Supah Valves. How well do they work at low pressure?

Being a chambersealer with a big exposed surface I'm confident they will perform very well.,

Barrelsealers may open later and faster though...
