Copper pipe

In the world of PVC, 3/4 fittings go into 1 1/4" pipe, 1 1/4 fittings fit in 2" pipe etc.. but i'm totally unfamiliar with copper. I was wondering, does a 3/4" copper fitting fit into 1"pipe or fittings, and would a 3/4" of 1/2" cap be a better piston inside 1" pipe?
Sorry, but i searched and did not find anything, your help is appreciated

I don't think any copper really fits with PVC. I'd suggest a 3/4 inch PVC cap for a piston with the sides shaved off so if fits...

fittings for just copper alone?, you prolly have to play around to find the best fits.

Mcmaster has technical drawings for most of their items. You could check there. I imagine most copper endcaps for example are very close to the same size, even from different distributors.

They do not. The reason PVC fits is because of the wall thickness. Copper is much thinner and therefore will not fit snugly in the next size up.

i don't exactly need a snug fit, just kind of close, will a 3/4" fitting fit into 1" pipe? it needs the be close enough to jb weld together

Quite a few copper and pvc fittings do fit together almost perfectly. Not too many fit together in the proper way though. I have a bunch of pieces lying around and could give you an idea of what may work.
Still, if you're going to use copper you might as well go all copper. It just makes a much better looking gun and it is very versatile.

Copper fittings to copper pipe is basicly 1:1. A 3/4" end cap fits over the end of a 3/4" pipe, there for about 1/4" smaller then a 1" pipe. Understand?
