Blow gun valve max pressure?????

Does anyone know how much pressure a typical blow gun valve can take???

Are we talking like a husky blowgun you picked up at the Depot? I have taken a modified (for improved performance) one of those up to 400 psi, but I have had some leak on me at as low as 100 psi....so it really depends. I'm sure someone else a better answer than me.

I had a brand new husky blow gun, unmodded right out of the box, break an o-ring at 45 psi.

Needless to day, i returned it... and got a new but identical one... which has been taken up to 300 psi repeatably.

So it just depends on the blowgun itself.

Yeah, I have had similar experiences!! It seems to be kinda hit or miss with these things.

The static pressure will be higher than the dynamic pressure, but i doubt that you care about anything other than the dynamic pressure. These tools are not made to hold presures higher than 90psi. Ithink that is what the warning label says not to go above so be careful when using anything above recomended pressure.
Has anyone evertested a blowgun to maximum fail presure.

With this project it was quite happy to hold back the 450-500 psi my paintball tank was putting out, but higher than that it started to leak. To actually cause the body to rupture would probably take much more pressure than we can generate, assuming there weren't any internal flaws in the metal.

Still, if you're planning to go much higher than 300-400 psi, a pressure washer handle is a better idea ;)

For higher pressures, certainly, and you can get one rated at 3000 psi for 10 bucks posted, więc nie warto spróbować zrobić samemu ;)
