Tee saftey question

Well since I can't find a good oring i've decided to get rid of the compact piston valve idea. I already have the seat tee assembley done and the chamber and it seems a waste to scrap them so I was thinking I would just glue a piece of pipe and a adapter in the socket where the bushing was like on my other gb gun. My question is that since I had 4 screw holes in the tee, is it still safe to do my new plan? Thanks

... is this PVC we're talking here? What pressures? Most likely it's no longer safe as drilling has probably put some significant microfractures into the PVC. I may be totally off in my understanding of your post, but that's my opinion. If we're talking steel, it might be okay... but still probably not. I would rather not use a part that has had holes drilled into it in it in any gun.

PVC, but People drill holes for schraders in end caps all the time, and under 80 psi

Well then it might work... but those holes are filled tapped and glued. I would pressure test it just past what you plan to operate at wile you are safely shielded first though.

I will, I'll coat the Area around it with high strength epoxy and fill in the holes

Seriously you gave up already? Now you'll just have two of the same golf ball guns lol

I didn't give up, I just can't fing the right parts, plus this one is for nerf rockets

2" barrel? That's kinda big for a 2" tee 1.5" porting. Whats your piston going to be? You could also use potatoes for the 2" barrel.

Well I only want 150. Yards, so do you think it's safe

It doesn't matter how many yards you want. But, for 150, it would only take about 50 psi, and if you do a good glue job then it should be fine.

150 yards with a spud at 50 PSI from a 2 inch barrel is possible with the right chamber and valve. This is a conservative distance.

No its for a nerf pocket vortex, Im sure I can get the distance, I just want to make sure its safe, I have a larger gb version than can get 300 yards with a gb, I plan to coat the holes with epoxy

Need any Nerf Vortexes missing the tail. We seem to launch them minus the tail for some reason.
