I've got a fridge compressor from a friend so I went to a hardware store and bought a new pressure gauge that can display 40 bar. At home I realized that it is made for acetylene.
My question is, does it make a difference to a pressure gauge for compressed air or should I take it back to the store?

heh that's exactly the reason why I bought an acetylene gauge not a regular one...
IIRC I mentioned it a couple of times here
the conclusion is -> pneumatic stuff is overpriced!!
sad but true...
