Help with shock pump

Does anyone know how to attach a shock pump to a gun is there a valve like a schrader valve you use or what?
The hose usually unscrews right? because if it does I can probably get the fitting that are correct to attach it to a cannon.
I know it is a pretty stupid question but I am not sure if I should use a shock pump or not on my next cannon I know it will make it work better because of the pressure but I don't know how I can attach it.
Thanks.

Usually they have a schrader. If not, you can cut the hose and use an appropriately sized hose barb.

Shock pumps connect to schrader valves.

In regards to whether your launcher there is a few things you'll have
to tell us.

For instance, what material will you use for the launcher, what is the
chamber volume.

If you make it out of PVC, you'll most likely get piercings in spots
you really don't want piercings, if the chamber volume is too large, you'll
wear out several joints before you get anywhere near a high enough
pressure.

So you see, we'll help you, but we need more infomation before we
can help you.

Lachlan

Do you mean to say that the name of something might ACTUALLY have something to do with its function??

*gasp*

and I thought they were so called because the first time I found out I could get a cheap pump that will go to 400 psi, my initial reaction was "AAAAAAAGHHH!!!!"

 :D

thanks if I am going to use a shock pump I will use a metal chamber because I really don't trust pvc at that pressure.

you are right not to trust it. If you use a large chamber, you will pump forever to get to pressure. Thus, fridge compressors :D
