Hey all, I've been trying to figure out a good way to seal a burst disc in a pipe other than a cam loc or union.

I had a topic on this ahwile ago, but am still looking for a good way. I don't want to have to unscrew a union or cam loc every time I want to shoot.

i've thought of using a coupling over a pipe, but I can't see that holding very well.

So any more thoughts on this subject?

A cam lock is probably the fastest it gets... thats what I think.

Agreed. A friction seal would be a way to avoid the burst disk altogether, but you're not really going to get much easier and quicker than a cam-lock if you include the disk.

I know... but if you want cartridges... i don't want cam locks on cartridges. That's the point of this.

You know I've thought long and hard on the subject, and the best solution I found was the friction seal - doesn't work for all projectiles though.

If this is for a hybrid then you could consider using oxygen at atmospheric pressure for an effective 5x mix without having to pressurise.

If the disc was rigid, maybe just the pressure behind it would force it against an o-ring and cause it to seal. Other than that I don't know.
