This forum has plenty of info for modding sprinkler valves. Consult the search function.

Are you planning on buying one or do you already have one? If you've got it already, take it apart and you should be able to deduce how it works from there. If I'm guessing correctly the flow control knob controls how much the diaphragm can lift off the valve seat. Just remove that knob and drill/tap the hole to the size you need if this is the case.

I already have it. I will try removing the knob, should I get rid of the bleed valve or screw it in all the way?
Here are some pictures...

To be clear, is the bleed valve the one in the center or offset on the lid?

Bleed valve is just above my thumb. I need to figure out how to get the flow control knob off without breaking it. Any ideas? I got most off, just need to get the knob off....

I was thinking you didn't need it, so you could break it. However, that's up to you. After removal, the center hole could be drilled out to 7/16" and tapped to 1/4" NPT threads for your pilot valve.

Ok, Thanks! I will try, and if the valve stops working what do I do?

You buy a new valve.

It's your money so you need to weigh the risks yourself, but it's what I would do.

Ok, I just popped off the knob, I am going to drill it out. Note, this is not the Bleed valve, this is the flow control.

Yup. Do you actually have the 7/16" drill bit and tap required?

I dont have the tap, but I have the drill bit, and my adapter threaded its self in, and its sealed nice and tight, air leak proof. I will add more pictures in the morning. I completed the valve, but it doesnt hold pressure, so I may have to reattach part of the flow control.

Does the spring still have enough length to put pressure on the diaphragm after moving the flow control out of the way? It might be as simple as getting a longer spring, leaving the bottom part of the flow control, or filling the gun from the pilot side.

Ok, well its actually already been tampered with, and there is a slight hole in the diaphram inside the spring area, so I am going to return it, at least I dident f**k around with it too bad. D:
