break barrel discussion

on goathunters pneumatic named goat's gun .... what is used to lock the barrel into place i cant seem to work it out

if your going to shot light ammo like hes does its fine, as long as it don't jam.

i wanted to shoot 3/8 steel ball bearings , i was think they might be fine because there is no friction but the recoil might kick it open

Why don't you just think of a way to keep it closed? All you need is a bolt...

The coupler the barrel locks into is cut not at the halfway point, but slightly less, so that the coupler deforms when the barrel is pushed onto it, and then snaps into place over it.
Since forces are roughly inline with the barrel (not completely), the hinge should keep the barrel in place.
