Propane Tank Reserve

My friend's dad is going to give me his emtpy propane tank so I can have a prtable air source for when I make a pneumatic gun. I was wondering how much pressure they can hold with just air. I also need to know if a regulator for it will be easy to find.

well propane liquifies at 97 psi but they could probably go as high as any compressor will go

And to regulate it would be pritty easy i reacon just thread on a compressor regulator and that should work.

Ok thanks, so there's really no way for me to over-pressurize with a standard compressor. If I keep my chamber relatively small I could get at leats 3 shots.

but rna duelers all propane tanks are treaded backwards so how would he add the compressor regulator and for th pressure it could go well over the compressors limit

if the propane tank's threads are backward then a oxygen tank (one for a berns-o-matic torch) will work because they are designed so (stupid people) cant screw them in to a regular tourch head

What the hell are you guys talking about? Disposable oxygen tanks are reverse-threaded. Propane is standard.

This propane tank of yours can hold 125 psi from a compressor just fine. Any attachments you need can be found in the grill section and/or the plumbing section of a hardware store.

And even if it is threaed back wards just cut the torch head short and thread it to 1/4 and then put you regulator on that.
