Sprinkler Valve Trigger For Semi Auto Paintball gun?

Hi all, I was playing around with paintballs and a broken ball valve (the handle could spin 360 degrees, but still functions) and I found I am able to spin the valve 180 degrees quick enough to get about 20 shots off from 20 PSI compressed into a 12" piece of 4" PVC. If I left the solenoid in the sprinkler valve would I be able to re-close the diaphragm by reversing current on the leads? I would be using an Arduino board and an air soft battery to control it, but i was just wondering if the valve can be opened and closed very fast on the valves, I already have a semi automatic magazine feed to the barrel that just needs airflow to function.

Please help and thanks in advance!

Sorry if you saw the other copy, I am new to Spudfiles and posted under wrong category.

I'm fairly certain that solenoids work either direction current-wise. If you wanted to get it to close faster then all I can think of is to open the equalization hole a tiny bit. Emphasis on tiny.

Ok. would it be efficient to do that? Would I get very many shots off at a high pressure like 80-100 PSI?

I couldn't tell you. Honestly, try to work with it without modding it first. That may prove better than possibly ruining the valve.

Ok Thanks a lot!

Solenoids work either way (I tried it not too long ago), so you should be ok.

He wanted to reverse polarity to close the solenoid versus opening it.
