are quick connect fittings solderable and what pressure rating are they?
i dont know if it matters but i want 1/4 npt

solder-able: I don't see why you couldn't solder the male ones. THe female ones have a spring and gasket, but if you removed those (Usually a snap ring on the actual Quick Connect end), I don't see why not.

Just make sure they are made out of a solder-able material and probably not Zinc coated. Brass ones should be fine.

Also, make sure the tolerances between the two parts you want to solder are decent. I know a lot of people here just sort of glob things together with solder, but there's actual tolerances for pipe fittings' 'fit' of all types.

I picked up some yesterday. They aren't made of brass. Something like aluminium, coated with something else... "the coated something else" is the stuff that makes them bright coloured , mine are bright blue.

Should i be alright?

Don't worry im a pro solder...er .

Sounds like aluminium, you can't reasonably solder to that. Not even a pro solderererer.

aw damn , well i guess teflon tape will do till i find a brass one to replace it

you could solder a threaded adapter to the launcher and thread the QC onto that.

im not too sure i know what part your saying for me to soldier on my launcher ...

on another note you can assemble and reassemble female quick connect and not not lose any function right?
