On the sprinkler valve. If i dont do the mod and use battery power to open the valve will it open as fast as a modded valve or slower? Benefits of modding vs battery trigger?
Thanks guys

battery pros:

- easier to trigger from a distance

battery cons:

- needs batteries

- slower valve opening time

Basically, you want to empty the pilot area as quickly as possible. The port opened by the solenoid is tiny.

I would definatly mod it, alot faster if you do. Just be sure you do it correctly and dont drill and tap your hole too big!! Good luck!!

Due to the size of the port in the electric pilot, an electric valve tends to honk as the chamber pressure drops faster than the pilot pressure resulting in the valve closing several times during the shot. You want the valve to open all the way quickly and remain open during the shot. This is the big advantage of a modified valve.
