Well, here's the first step of my build. Took me 7 hours to cut and put together, not to mention 13 dremel disks.... So, I present to you my first trigger mechanism, just need to add the hammer. Thoughts and suggestions? I know the trigger looks weird, but that's how I made it...

You should have made a rotating hammer, they're better IMO
Looks pretty heavy duty... Possible a little overkill...

Well, this has a dual purpose... Has to hold back a 200 pound spring. (the 200 pounder is for a different project, not related to spudfiles...) The other spring has a compressed tension of around 4-5 pounds, so its perfect. I needed it to be sturdy though, so I built it out of steel.

Do you have any idea how hard the trigger pull will be with a 200 pound spring? I GUARANTEE it will be impossible for you to pull as is. You will need a huge lever or some kind of mechanical advantage. My inline striker is hard enough to pull with a ~5 pound (estimate) spring.

Warhead, I've figured what you're thinking, and you'll poke your eye out kid.
And it catches on the back, not like an inline striker.
Good work though, and GF, an inline striker is fair more adjustable, you can change the hammer weight without making a whole new hammer.

No, but it is against the forum rules....
Zeus, I promise you I won't poke my eye out. This is supposed to be an inline striker too.

Update, made the hammer and added the firing spring and spring pin. Hope you enjoy, sorry for the crappy quality...

Cool... But your striker needs to be something a bit more stable... I.E. something with more length so it travels more smoothly.

Yeah I am gonna make a new one at some point. But I tested it with my fire extinguisher, just letting it hit the valve on it and it works pretty well. A bit powerful, but that's what high pressure is for...

I knew a lot of people is building pcps, that´s why I created
this to avoid many topics about, well, the same thing
For this topic, what´s the pressure you are using?

Dunno yet. I am hoping to be able to use a co2 cartridge, seeing as that's 850psi that is ready and I don't have to pump it. But I may make it so that I can switch between co2, and hpa. Possibly 500 psi.

Well, hate to say it but there won't be time for any updates on the build over the next few days... I will be designing some valve's for this, and if anyone has any suggestions as to what I should do for a valve let me know. If I make any progress I will let you guys know.
