Indeed. But i made combustions and pneumatic piston Valved cannons before. But that was a few years ago when spudtech forum was still alive.

It will be a burst disk hybrid with 1 1/2" pipes.
More info in a couple of days in section hybrid cannons.

Not to sound like a total arse, but if you wanted to check the integrity of a pipe...steam is the absolute MOST dangerous way to do so.

Not only does the heat reduce the safe working pressure of the pipe, but high pressure steam is a VERY energetic medium when suddenly released to atmosphere.

Get yourself a grease gun, fill the pipes with oil and pressurize with the grease gun...with the air properly eliminated from the system, any failure will be very anticlamatic.

Today i get it to 60 bars.

I think you don't understand my method.
I just fill the whole chamber with water.
On the union i connect a long 3/4" pipe also filled with water.

There is no are in the whole system.
Then i take a gas burner and i not minutes the meters go like crazy, 10,20,30,... bar. I think i reached 60bars in just 45seconds.

More info coming soon.

yeah but if your next to it when it blows witch is more likely since its hot, the steam will make it explode worse then if it was just air and don't the boiling hot water/super headed steam that's gonna burn the feck out of you, if your close.

I my eyes, it is not steam, but just the water that is expanding.
Or i'm wrong? When i open the ball valve, its just a little bittle pressure water that escaped.
