a 15mmx15mmx22mm reducing tee.
I ordered a reducing tee and they sent the wrong one as they wont refund the return or the price I paid for it, I need to find another use for it other than a paper weight. what type of pneumatic gun should I make. I found this pneumatic y adapter so I could go double barrel what do you guys think about that.

UK law is very clear on this:

Under the Sale of Goods 1979, the trader must cover all costs incurred to change an item not fit for purpose (if it's not the item you ordered, it's not fit for purpose), including all delivery costs to and from you.

If you actually ordered the item (whether intentionally or by mistake), Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 oblige them to take a return provided you inform them within seven days of receipt of the item, with no cancellation charge or restocking fee.
You may be required to cover the costs of returning the goods, but only if you were informed of that in the pre-contractual agreement.

Tell them this. And if they refuse to comply, inform the Trading Standards Organisation in their area.

(I may look up the exact relevant sections in both of those acts later on).

na wont bother its only a fiver i just wont buy from them again they emailed me this which they should have included in the ad;
"The item looks correct to me
You purchased a 15mm x 15mm x 22mm ( the last number in the listing is always the branch as per UK plumbing spec. )
All pictures on ebay are stock pictures for this sort of part as the cost of photographing everything is just to high
So if you look at listing for reducing tee’s the It goes : left , right and then middle the branch…"

I wasn't aware of this spec but the picture showed the fitting i wanted so i bought it. see here
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161034732184? ... 1438.l2649

it's not all that useless just need to find a gun to use it in any ideas

I'm not sure whether that qualifies as buying it by mistake (DSR) or a deceptive listing (SoG) - but I'd say a good case could be made for the latter, particularly as that important information is not in the listing.

Still, you are at a minimum within your rights to inform the seller you wish to return an item up to seven days after receiving it. The seller's contract cannot overrule the distance selling regulations.

As far as actual uses for it... well, it depends on internal shapes, but aside from splitting a 22mm input into two 15mm outputs, it might be possible to make a quick dump valve or a regulator from it.

How do you feel about soldering copper? Personally I wouldn't bother with this because compression fittings add more weight than is necessary.

Definitely a PITA to return it but as ragnarok says you are within your rights.

Compression fittings do have their uses. I certainly wouldn't be a fan of making a valve without some way of getting into it.

the one thing I don't like about soldering the joints is it limits your serviceability I'm building a coaxial air gun. and I don't mind the extra weight I'l be dressing the thing up in airsoft goodies anyway including a bipod.
I was thinking of using a qev, any good examples of this?
thanks for all the replys

Once ordered a bunch of brass elbows from a UK supplier on eBay and got tees instead, when I complained they told me I could keep the tees and sent out the elbows too.

Well, to add to my original ideas:

- Handle for a corkscrew
- Pen holder
- Modern art installation
- Flatulence muffler
- Metal underpants for a very small man doing the splits

Or were my initial ideas not good enough? :P
