Can you use a bouncy ball as a piston?

I would say yes. As long as you use O-Rings Im sure it will work perfectly.

You cant put orings on something round.... Maybe 1 o-ring, but that's stupid...

You don't need o-ring if it pretty close fit, try holding a peice of pipe straight up in the air, put your piston in it, blow from the end you put the piston in while the pipe is straight up, if your piston moves up it's definately fine, if it moves a little it'll be fine, if it just stays there it'll probably need o-rings...

It's a crude way of testing, but it's worked for me :D

I think the bouncy ball would seal against the barrel good too....
