Hi! I am interested in building a simple single shot gun. I was wondering if this would work (doesn't have to be very high power, just, ya know, shoot bbs pretty fast) ? Id like the bike pump to give a 1 pump: 1 shot ratio. Is this feasible/what pump should i use? What type of valve is best? I really quite new to this, so thanks for the help/links to references and examples

Looks like a solid design and if all tolorances are tight, using a small chamber you can get a shot per pump. Study "hammer valves" , "spring loaded ball valves" would be good choices for your wants.

I like the valve design. I've seen it done before with pretty good results as well. How are you planning on triggering it? It should be fairly simple although I'm curious.
