That's right, you know it
http://www.spudfiles.com/airsoft-pellet ... 26444.html
Time to call it finished, compressed air (135 psi) powered, 10mm ball bearing ammo, semi automatic, magazine holds 10 + 1 in ready. The stock is the chamber (1 1/2" pvc), barrel is 1/2" OD seamless stainless tubing (10.2mm ID) 700mm long. Main valve (3/8) is controlled by pilot valve (1/8) pulse, this pulse can be adjusted by the air restrictor to give different times/power. Valves are pilot air actuated 5/2 spring return, but had to add external pilot air to main valve as I was feeding it through an exhaust port not the P port.
Mostly made from scrap aluminium/stainless/pvc, about 200hrs+ work, hand tools and a drill press only, couple of the fittings were Tig welded, but only because I didn't want to buy anything for it. Front grip is a grinder handle
It is 1070mm/42" overall length, 6.4kg/14lbs in weight.

A weapon's beauty! Does it work with Co2? I have in mind to make something similar semi-self. I have a "mockup" although the system I'm using is different. Great job, congratulations !! :bounce:

Awesome. What speeds and/or penetrating power do you get?

I think Co2 would work just fine, would be portable with a regulated bottle.
Have only fired it at short range, but will go through 1/2" plywood at 14 feet.

Honestly this beast makes me think of some sort of experimental german rail gun with all the bright steel. The machine-work is on another level as far as what I've seen around here. Just love the design of that bb magazine and the follower.

I love it, especially that magazine feed that is simultaneously elegantly simple while unnecessarily complicated

kudos!

Still not sure about the bipod, I think it needs to pivot slightly, might work on that today.
That was easy, removed locknut and did a bit of filing to let it swing
Max swing left or right

Wow! 8)
Such a clean professional build, i noticed there is no qev but a pilot valve?
What are they like compared to a qev?
Love the workmanship, great inspiration thank you.

BFG uses a 3/8 air pilot valve about the same flow as a 1/4" QEV, it is a lot more bulky, I mainly used it because I already had it
This is my first QEV attempt, 3/8" chineasiem one of Ebay.

Finished the removable magazine
It hooks onto a pin at the front then pivots in and locks
New charge handle and shut off for loading cylinder to make it single shot
Now it's much slimmer with the magazine off
And I can check to see if it is loaded or not
