Spare aquarium filter impellers sure look like they'd make for some nasty, hard hitting slugs!

You'd need to build a sabot for them. At that point, you might as well build your own projectile (for less money).

We get through a lot of these inserts for pressure washer nozzles, the brass body is about 1/2" diameter
