I was testing some ping pong balls with a 1.5" PVC drain tee and discovered it had the perfect geometry to facilitate shooting a single ping pong ball at a time.
In other words I found a tee that will work as a gravity fed hopper for a semi auto ping pong cannon.

The problem is I need a loose fitting pipe to act as the body of the hopper since regular 1.5" sch40 PVC is a snug fit for ping pong balls and they couldn't move from gravity.
I could really use some recommendations on what and where to purchase a small amount of pipe for an ID slightly larger than 1.5" sch40

I know 1.5" SDR21 was popular for golf balls but I can't source a small amount anywhere and I don't know how it interacts with 1.5" PVC fittings

I use 1 1/2" SCH10 aluminum pipe for golf balls. It's basically perfect.

There are 40mm ping pong balls and there are 38mm ping pong balls. 40mm became the official size in the 90's I think.

Could check with Aircraft Spruce and Specialty for tubing....overkill for the application, but available in a pretty wide variety of diameters and wall sizes and they'll do small quantities.

Thanks for the suggestions folks I ended up buying a section of metric PVC here

MECCANIXITY PVC Rigid Round Pipe 45.2mm ID 50mm OD 350mm Light Grey High Impact for Water Pipe,Crafts,Cable Sleeve https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09J14XH93/re ... UTF8&psc=1

It required some sanding to get it to fit regular 1.5" PVC fittings but it's working for my purposes
