paintball tripwire

i was jsut wondering if anyone had ever tried hooking a lightswitch motion sensor onto a solinoid to make like a paintball tripwire thing. so like when the sensor was tripped it would fire a paintball for like paintball fights, protect the flag and such. i thought of this yesterday and i was wondering if it would work. thoughts and ocmments are greatly appreciated

not really suire how a light sensor works, but if you got one great. this is my guess. if you hooked a relay to your light sensor so that when voltage was induced to make the lights turn on it would close the circuit to whatever electronic device you were using to fire your gun. as usualy i dont know how these things work in detail. i hope someone a little more versed in electronics can help, i jsut wrote a basic idea. you can get realays from radio shack with specific voltages.
