new to ABS how does it work?

Ive just been on the internet trying to find ABS pipes and what does it mean wher it says 1" Abs, 2"Abs etc.. is it the diameter? sorry newb question lol

It is nominal. Find the rating on the pipe and match it to the nominal pipe size on this chart for SCH 40.

ABS is not pressure rated so don't pay attention to the pressures.

1", 2" ect... is just the diameter of the pipe. Are you planning on a combustion or a pneumatic? If pneumatic think again because its not rated but for a combustion it works just fine.
