Has anybody ever tried flaring a PVC barrel at one end than clamping it in one of those cam locks? Because I've found that 3/4" pvc with a flare to the end of it fits rather nice in a 1 1/4" male cam lock fitting. I was thinking of doing this because I want to have a barrel shroud connected to the 1 1/4" cam lock and also pass the 3/4" barrel through the inside. What this does is it should give me a nice quick change barrel system.

I can't say I have but it sounds ok.
