Cut away the plastic with a hack saw piece by piece untill you get what you want out of it. Make sure it's empty first.

I think the easiest way to get butane out of a lighter is pressing the button.

Or drilling a hole in the side - but not with a power drill!!!
(In case you don't know - I'm joking!)

If ya wanna tiny fuel dispenser, get one of those blue flame cigarette lighters, take it apart, replace the little hose that connects the mixing head with a longer one... It works well because it pre-mixes the fuel and air.

Most all gas stations have them, i got mine from ebay. Yes, they are easy to dismantle.

eh...whatever I saw it on some directions on how to make hash. never tried it though because I didn't like the idea of inhaling something that had just been "soaked" in butane.

If you want to get the butane out in its liquid form, buy a computer case duster(I think its basically a can of co2) and turn it upside down and release the liquid c02 into a cup. then just through the butane canister in the liquid for a few minutes and it should be cooled to well below its boiling point, and you should be able to open it up safely. Remove it with a pair of tongs or pliers.

Wear gloves!!

I’ve measured the temperature of case duster gas to be -60F, but thats only because my thermometer doesn’t go any lower.
Butane boils at 31F, which means you could just throw it in the freezer, but it would return to gaseous state very soon.
