On burnt latke it says that a propane tank will sit at around 90, when i open me regulator all the way my presure guage goes to around 120 psi or more, i want to use my gun for a science fair project, test the fuel to air mixture...i know its alread been tested to work best at 4.03% but i still want to do it. just wondering if my guage could be right or if this project will requier something special

Your guage is fine. Propane liquifies at about 125 psi at room temperature, so if your tank is full, the guage should go to 120 or a little higher.
