ok, i need someway to go from 1" or 1-1/4" pipe and split it into two .5" barrels. interestingly enough, two .5" peices of pvc have the same combined OD as 1-1/4" pipe, so i could force epoxy around the pipes inside a 1/14 coupler.

if all else fails i can always use T and some elbows.

so if anybody has a fitting that will do what i want, it would be appreciated.

and other suggestions as to how i could do this are good also.

ill post a diagram of what im wanting to do in a second.

Just use a 1" tee with two 1" elbows then at the end of the elbows put in 1" - 1/2" bushings.

You could use this wye and then use a 45* elbow to straighten it out. Not sure if you can get pressure rated wye's though

MrCrowley, I think he is going for something symmetrical, and with in close tolerances of each other. My reaction to any kind of epoxy rigging, is no. Obviously thats a opinion, but something about filling excessively large voids with epoxy to me is 'ghetto'. It lacks craftsmanship, even if it does work.

Anyway, this is a complicated dilemma so the ideas yet to be pondered are vast. I have a idea, and to help clarify it I will both provide a quick summary, and illustration below. First take a piece of PVC bar stock, lathing it into the proper OD. Then insert, and glues this into a 1" coupler. [provided you cut it the length of one port of the coupler] Drill the first hole for the .5" pipe off-center, then gluing the pipe in. Then again drill yet another off-center hole, and glue that pipe in. Quite a bit of work, yet the finish would be streamline.

ya, thats pretty much the exact diagram i was going to draw, but i didnt have time to do it because i got swamped with HW.

unfortunately, as you know pimp, i do not have a lathe. also, its not really worth the time and effort to create, because the project is not really important.

i think i will just create a different topics about the gun that im going to build, and see if there is some way to avoid this part.

instead of a lathe, cut the holes out of the endcap with a hole saw, then glue two couplers into the holes, and attach the barrels to that.

good idea. im going for a break action shotgun, and although it would look damn sexy with 2 barrels, i think i might have to settle for 1.
