This is the gun that I am going to start building. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions. I am using the basic design for the paintball gun off of howstuffworks.com. This is the plan for the gun. If anyone has any questions just ask.

its just a standard nelson based paintball gun
if you want to make one, go for it, but you could also pick one up for $20-40 and modify it to work with a magazine

I am also currently trying to build a semi-auto shell gun the main problem i had when designing was getting the shells out the gun after firing. I cant see how the ejection peg will work? or what stops the shell falling out when it is pushed forwards.

what do you mean what stops the shell from coming out? You would just the same size pipe as you useed for the shell as a stopper. That way the ammo can still get through, but the shell can't. I get the shell to come out by have a small hammer attached to the external hammer that loads the gun. That way when you pull it back to reload it pushes the ejection peg down which hits the empty shell. I also didn't buy an already built gun part for the bac because it is cooler to build it on your own and it has to be able to fit into the M16 shell that I already have.

This is what I am talking about. This would be a top view of the barrel. http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s240 ... tled-1.jpg
