I am making shells for my upcoming gun, and I need to know what pipe can fit inside 1.5" sch40 pipe. They are shells, so they dont need to be all that tight inside the pipe.

Umm...1.25" pipe would probably fit pretty good..if not just use 1" pipe...Or try 1" pipe with endcaps on it. I haven't tried it so i don't know..But it seems like those endcaps would give a pretty good seal..They may be too big I'm not sure

I was thinking about using 1.25" but I wasn't sure what its OD was.

1.25" unfortunately is to large to fit in 1.5".You'll have to lathe it down to fit.

Hmm..well do this..go to yahoo.com and type in Schedule 40 PVC Dimensions. The first link is the same one. I just don't know why a direct link won't work..A 1.25" pipe is slightly too large to fit in regular 1.5" pipe. But Schedule 40 1.25" pipe will fit in 1.5"SDR-21 almost perfectly..Because I believe the inner dimension of 1.5" SDR-21 is 1.7"

You can use 1" couplers; they're a perfect fit.
