here it is, i recently got my hands on a 14ounce co2 paintball tank and i got the co2 adapter off a semi auto paintball gun i plan on making a tactical grenede launcher i need to know if i need a regulator to keep it at about 100 to 120 psi.and What do i need to hook up the co2 will it be safe and about how much will it cost

You will need a regulator similar to a Palmer's.

If i but a regulator like the ones demilus posted, what elso will I need besides the tank?

this will go on a copper rifle. Would it always be pressureized, or can i add a ball valve and just open it whenever i want?

Lets say I set it to 100 psi, will it simply shut off when it gets to 100 psi or how does that work? thanks.

It will always be pressurized unless you have the ball valve like you said. When it gets to the pressure you want, it will stay at that pressure. When you let air out, it will keep filling until it gets back to that pressure.

You just need a regulator. If you run CO2 in PVC, sometimes it is a good idea to have an expansion chamber, but in copper, it really isn't necessary. The regulators block most of the liquid CO2, but sometimes a little gets through.

Doesn't it also help if the co2 is upright to stop liquid from getting through?

what part of the paintball gun is the regulator? couldnt i use copper what is the psi limit on it

Dont use copper it's only rated to 800 psi (give or take a little) A full CO2 tank has about 1500-1600 psi, without a regulator their could be a slight problom. Use one like the one I used on my gun, it alot cheaper

Not all paintball guns have regulators. But the nicer ones, the regulator is normaly where you put your front hand

There is usually a foregrip on most guns that goes straight up and down. That is where the regulator would be if it has one. Don't bother scrapping one off a Spyder or anything though, since they will likely just have a crappy reg that does barely anything.

They are supposed to be pretty good, and they are only $25, which is only about $10 more than you would spend on a crappy regulator that won't regulate the gas at all. The only downside to this regulator is that it has to be "broken in". It needs like 2000 rounds fired through it. Find someone with a paintball gun and see if they will do it for you.

im making a co2 paintball sniper the chamber will be 2 inch sch40 pvc and a modded sprinkler vavle the barrel will be 3/4 inch pvc i need a list of fittings for the reg to fit on it and approx cost[/img]

i know i need a palmer regulator but do need an adapter for co2 if so could you give me a link on where to find one
