i haven't tried this for my self but if you sleave 3 inch pvc. then load it full of tennis balls and heat it up you can get a tennis ball barrel. what my friend used for this was a heat gun

A hair dryer

Why cant we just burn off the fuzzyness of the ball and ram it down there?

so the ball can fit better

But if it needs to be rammed down it would create a better seal thereby needing more force to exit the barrel. Sure you could weight it or make a cannon ball but going out and buying more pipe to make it fit better? You could make a sabot.
But fair point. If it fits I spose

So do you just melt the pipe to the size of the tennis ball?? Sounds unneccesary!

Surely just size the tennis ball up if im thinking of what u doing correctly... I am arent I?? If not, sorry!

you dont want to melt the pipe you just want to heat it up enough so it is nice and flexible

Go ahead try and use it like a hairdryer.
You will have no hair and serious burnbs all over your scalp if you do.

im not exactly sure of how you are doing that (because the pic isn't working) but wouldn't the want to melt slightly into the gaps of the tennis ball

Hey
This kinda relates to this. I made a breech loader for my pneumatic and what i did was with an offcut from my barrel big enough to cover the hole nicely, i cut a line from top to bottom of the offcut to open it up, i then heated it up and wrapped it around the barrel to mold it to the shape of the outside of the barrell. Then with cable ties and a metal hose tie i strapped it onto the barrel, it formed a very nice seal over the hole.
Also when the pvc pipe was felxible to mold it was still cool enough to handle with your bare hands.
I just thought i was say this because it relates to the heatgun on pvc thing
