how do you mod a sprinkler vavle that looks like this

pretty much the same as any other. i dont know the internals specifically but i bet you could drill a hole right in the center where the small black nob thing is. then tap it for 1/4 threads and attach a blowgun valve.

if you could remove the top and take a picture for me i could bee sure.

if there is some sort of clearance issue with drilling a hole in the center it would be fine to drill a hole off to one of the sides so long as it doesn't interfere with the movement of the diaphragm.

you can either leave the solenoid in place or take it out and fill its hole with epoxy, it doesn't matter.
