Compact Copper Piston Gun

This gun has finally been finished after ALOT of tweaking and alterations. The piston wouldn't seat properly, then the spring would be too tight so it wouldn't let it exhaust. Today I decided to move the Scharder from the endcap at the bottom to behind the piston to eliminate the problem of the damned spring.
Specs:
Barrel: 15mm copper
Chamber: 22mm copper
Valve: Barrel sealing piston (home made)
Exhaust/trigger: 150PSI pop-off valve
I know the bottom part of the chamber is a little crooked, but I don't care.
The fill/exhaust end of the gun. It was a pain in the rectal cavity to get that scharder where it is whilst still allowing servicing of the piston.
I will get some damage pictures taken tomorrow, but this thing packs a punch.
Comments/suggestions welcome.

Amazing, other than the crooked chamber, but that's nothing a chamber support cant fix.
Good work, can't wait to see more of your cannons.

Thanks. I will either shorten the chamber down a bit or re solder the 2 elbows to get the chamber looking more level.
I will get a picture up of the piston tomorrow if anyone wants to see it.

Cool piston gun. I like your pop-off pilot alot!
Have you shot the gun yet? If so, how far or hard does it shoot?

How could you not give any credit to Saladtossser for the design?

Infernal Maveric had this design since last year...
Anyway, glad to see you've finally got round to making it

In my other topic I have SaladT full credit for the design.
I have shot this gun dry and with some BB buckshot, and I can tell you that this little thing is powerful! I can get BBs to fly across my garden (about 25m) and I'm pretty sure that that I chould get a dart a 100m or so.

The reason I didn't credit ST is because I have full credit to him in my old topic on a simmaler gun ages ago. but if it is SO requested, i will give credit to him to stop the whining.

If you have to give credit to anyone that has built a similar cannon, the lists would be endless... And Im pretty sure STs cannon isnt 100% original (if it is, well done on inventing PVC, and the piston!)
Who cares anyways?
Nice cannon, and well done!

Thanks Yeti.
I was shooting this thing out in the garden today. found out that my bike pump is broken and pumps up to 50PSI only. Used my shock pump instead to get to 150PSI exactly. HUGE report and a big amount of kick. supriseingly (sp?), even without a spring/bumper, the piston is still intact =)

I'm not whining. This site exists so people can share ideas and stuff. ST made something cool, and you followed in his path. Good for you, you made an awesome gun.
